Namaste! My name is Radhika Mohan. Before studying and teaching in S2S, I had completed the Kovida exam, offered by the DLP track. I had also taught children and adults. I still study and teach outside of S2S.
However, studying under the S2S method has strengthened my knowledge. Teaching using the ‘Slides’ has certainly improved my teaching methodology and conversational skills, while developing clarity of the material. By all this, I am able to gratefully understand the intricacies of Samskritam and its depth.
Without any hesitation, for a serious Samskrita-enthusiast, I would strongly recommend S2S as an important path in the studying and teaching of Samskritam.

My Experience in S2S Courses
Ramasubramanian - A Description of My Personal Experience
Four years ago, at the age of seventy, I enrolled in the S1 level and began the course, which covered everything from conversational skills to deeper aspects of Sanskrit study. Before that, my knowledge of Sanskrit was minimal. At that time, I could only struggle to read a little by painstakingly looking at the script. That was the extent of my ability.
The “patrAchAra-dvArA-saMskRRitam” course organized by Samskrita Bharati in Chennai was one of the programs I registered for and studied through online methods. Simultaneously, I also attended the S1-level s2s classes. From the s2s program, I learned that acquiring conversational skills during our study period was a key focus. The esteemed senior leaders of Samskrita Bharati emphasize its importance. Ever since my involvement with the S1-level course, my thoughts have predominantly revolved around this aspect. Consequently, I have regularly listened to various Sanskrit speeches through YouTube channels, which has proven that it is indeed possible to acquire more knowledge of Sanskrit and conversational skills simply by listening. Practice and listening to Sanskrit have also enhanced my love for the language.
At the S2 level, progress in conversational skills becomes achievable by focusing more on grammatical aspects such as verbal roots, nouns, and syntax. Sanskrit knowledge is also joyfully gained. At the S3 level, even more advanced knowledge can be acquired through various organized courses. Topics such as sandhi (euphonic combinations), samasa (compound words), and the construction of anvaya (syntactical rearrangement of verse) for understanding shlokas (verses) are fascinating subjects that are also covered.
Over time, I have studied all the levels in the s2s series—S1, S2, S3, and S4—and my love for Sanskrit has grown immensely. In May 2024, at the S4 level, I studied Nyaya Shastra (Indian Logic) and read the book “Tarkasangraha” (a foundational text of logic).
It is well-known that no one can study Vedanta without first studying Nyaya Shastra. This reflects the importance of this discipline.
Thus, these excellent courses and dedicated teachers have greatly benefited us, which is the hallmark of Samskrita Bharati.
Currently, I have taken up the responsibility of being the chief teacher for the S1 level. Additionally, I am serving as an assistant teacher for the S2 and S3 levels.
It brings me great satisfaction to strive to teach students in this role.
